First day

Minna and I have gotten used to a quiet walk together to her bus stop, etc., in the morning. So, we were surprised to see this traffic circle all backed up with cars this morning. Minna quickly figured out what was going on -- it's the first day of school in Jerusalem!

I was really tickled by how much fun these girls seemed to be having as crossing guards:

The children are part of what makes Jerusalem feel like a miracle to me. Back in the States, we have so many congregations that don't seem to have many young families in them. It gladdens my heart to see so many Jewish children here.
